Dr. Muhammad Abdul Ahad has earned his PhD degree in the area of Active Magnetic Bearings (System Dynamics and Control and Mechanical Design) from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, GIK Institute. He is a life member of Pakistan Engineering Council. He has diverse teaching and research experience work experience. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Ahad is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Air University, A&A Campus Kamra. The research interest in a broader spectrum are System Dynamics and Control and Mechanical Design however, particularly in AMBs, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), magnetically coupled marine thrusters, permanent magnetic couplings and hybrid non-contact power transmission mechanisms for marine applications.
